Established in 2005 by Trent and Tammy Madsen, Kinetic Martial Arts is one of Sydney’s premier martial arts organisations. With dojangs along the east coast of NSW offering more than 85 classes a week, Kinetic Martial Arts teaches distinct programs for adults, teens and kids, and provides an opportunity to enter the growing health and fitness space. It offers a clear curriculum and structured criteria for progression in all areas of the organisation and prioritises community values to build a loyal clientele.
Skills covered in the structured syllabus include:
– Strikes, kicks and punches
– Falling
– Throwing
– Self-defence including locks, chokes and pressure points
– Grappling (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu)
– Meditation
– Weapons
Underpinning the Kinetic Martial Arts business are the principles of integrity, technique and community. Founder Trent Madsen explains these values.
Integrity: Within the organisation, we adhere to doing what we say and saying what we do.
Technique: Refinement of technique on and off the mats is critical. To keep instructors, students and young leaders moving forward, we have a clear curriculum and structured criteria for progression in all areas of the organisation.
Community: Whether we are assisting students to be their best (both on the mats and in their studies), participating in local events or rallying around a student who needs a little extra help, our instructors lead the way creating a true community.

We are targeting specific areas for the development of new Kinetic Martial Arts clubs, and we’re also happy to discuss new areas and help evaluate the viability of a club. Both capital cities and regional areas can be suitable for a Kinetic Martial Arts club.
